Hard drive failure….
Well, the hard drive in my 5 month old MacBook Pro started developing bad sectors this week. On Tuesday, I tried to reboot and it pretty much refused to come up. Neither Linux nor OSX would boot up. Short lived title….
Well, my “Distinguished Engineer” title was certainly short lived. With the acquisition of IONA by Progress, my title again changes. My new title is “Software Fellow”. Good thing I didn’t get new business cards printed. 🙂
Promoted to Distinguished Engineer
While on vacation, it was officially announce at IONA that I’ve been promoted from Principal Engineer to Distinguished Engineer. Another CXF podcast….
A couple weeks ago, I did another podcast about Apache CXF with Dana Gardner. This podcast was a bit different than my first podcast as we brought in another CXF committer, Benson Margulies, to provide another view point. All in all, it definitely went smoother than my first podcast. Experience definitely helps.
